Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi graces the opening of Nirav Modi’s new Hong Kong shop
Luxury jeweller Nirav Modi celebrated the launch of its flagship store at 1881 Heritage, a cultural and shopping landmark in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. The event was graced by international artists and industry stakeholders.
Nirav Modi, founder of his eponymous luxury jewellery brand, headed the opening ceremony with award-winning actress Zhang Ziyi and South Korean actor and singer Rain.
Modi gifted an “Embrace” bangle to Zhang and an “Embrace” bracelet for her daughter, the company said. These pieces have a one-of-a-kind mechanism engineered to stretch open and spring close to create an interlocking pattern that resembles an embrace. The pieces have gold links paved with diamonds.
Rain, meanwhile, was given the “Exquisite Grand Mughal” brooch. The meticulous craftsmanship mirrors Rain’s dedication to his work and his commitment to constantly evolve, according to the jeweller. The brooch evokes a regal appeal and embodies the spirit of the Mughal Era, a celebrated period in Indian history. The brooch features Mughal-cut diamonds.
Nirav Modi’s high jewellery collection was also showcased at the shop’s opening, marking the first time these jewellery pieces were exhibited in Hong Kong. These included the Water Lily necklace and earrings and the Cinderella necklace.
