Two fancy vivid heart-shaped diamond rings are headlining a Sotheby’s sale scheduled for July 10 in Hong Kong, marking the resumption of the company’s live jewellery auctions in Asia.
The rings, to be sold separately, are adorned with a 4.49-carat fancy vivid internally flawless pink diamond and a 5.04-carat fancy vivid Type IIB blue diamond, with respective pre-sale estimates of HK$58 million to HK$68 million (around US$7.5 million to US$8.8 million); and HK$60 million to HK$75 million (around US$7.7 million to US$9.7 million).
Other highlights of the Magnificent Jewels sale include iconic pieces such as a pair of Colombian emerald and diamond earrings by Harry Winston; the famed “Zip” necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels; an Art Deco brooch by Cartier from its famed Tutti Frutti series; and an array of Panthère designs also from Cartier.
The sale also features a selection of fine jadeite jewellery pieces.
