The JNA Awards 2020 has received submissions from 11 countries and regions spanning five continents, namely Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America – a testament to the Awards’ relevance in the international jewellery industry.
Letitia Chow, chairperson of the JNA Awards and director of Business Development – Jewellery Group at Informa Markets, commented, “It is encouraging to see the JNA Awards break new ground and further appeal to enterprises from all over the world. For the first time since its inception in 2012, we have entries from Colombia and South Africa, along with entries from mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, the US and Vietnam.”
This is also proof that despite uncertainties, industry players still look for ways to share and celebrate their outstanding achievements and success stories. In fact, more than half of the entrants are first-time participants, reflecting the ever-growing significance of the Awards, Chow added.
With more and more companies attaching greater importance to sustainability and innovation, the Awards’ Industry Innovation of the Year category remains to be the most popular; followed by Sustainability Initiative of the Year, which also recorded a significant increase in the number of entries.
Organised by Informa Markets, the JNA Awards is dedicated to promoting best business practices and sustainable advancement by recognising exemplary achievements in all sectors of the jewellery trade – regardless of the size of operation or years in business.
JNA Awards 2020 is supported by Headline Partners Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Ltd, Shanghai Diamond Exchange, and DANAT, together with Honoured Partners KGK Group, China Gems and Jade Exchange, and Guangdong Land (Shenzhen) Co Ltd.
