The first edition of the Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair drew 6,362 buyers from 31 countries and regions, trade show organiser UBM Asia Ltd said in a press release. The four-day show, which was held at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 3, concluded on November 18.
The trade fair, the first international and professional B2B jewellery trade show in Taiwan, offered a wide range of products including loose gemstones, jewellery mountings and finished jewellery. The show also featured pavilions hosting vendors from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Europe.
“The quality of the show is fantastic. For GIA, we have not participated in any jewellery shows in Taiwan for a long time. We decided to participate in this show because it is organised by UBM Asia. The results are great, and the quality of seminars is very good as well. The show is able to bring positive energy to the Taiwan jewellery industry,” Vivian Wang, a director of GIA, was quoted as saying.
An official with the Taipei Jewelry Association said the exhibits matched buyers’ requirements.
The next Taiwan fair will be held from November 20 to 23, 2014 at the Taipei World Trade Center.
